Day 2 of tower climbing

Well I wasn't trying to beat my record, but I did. 7 times today (87 ft tower). 60 ft over yesterday.

So I settled down and , embarrassed to say, finished the "Maid in Akihabara" series on youtube. While taking a break from Guitar Hero on Sunday I browsed the anime movies looking for Nausicaa (a Miyazaki classic), and I came across one called Akihabara Geeks. I remembered from my past the name Akihabara, neighborhood in Tokyo known for electronics that attracted geeks. And along with the geeks, in recent years, came their manga/anime obsession. Another thing being maid cafes. SO.. a search for maid and akihabara came up with this series (Maid in Akihabara) which I found pretty funny.

It's about a girl who comes to work in a cafe filled with geeks she doesn't understand. Whole story is like a live-action anime (striking poses to say simple things, fire over angry peoples heads, different foregrounds popping up). The geeks are guys who talk about anime trivia, brag about cards they collect, talk to each other via computer across the table, and usually faint if a girl shakes their hand. They end up having to defend their shop from the Yakuza (Japanese MAFIA). I found it entertaining esp. if you have seen anime. Episode 1.

And now my current watching is the "Life in Tokyo" series. One of his episodes came up in my akihabara search. It is a video journal of this american? living in Tokyo. It's a fun watch too.

Here's one about Japanese and waiting in line for..... KRispy Kreme.

Here's the one about Akihabara district. Where he visits Akihabara to try to find a movie projector.

I'm sure it'd be more bearable if the stairs were enclosed.
