Combine gaming with a search engine?

A coworker of mine sent me the link to a 'design your own trebuchet' game. I'm probably way behind the times, but I hadn't heard of globalspec.com.

Here is the link ..... Build it

My initial High Score stood at 2188. I thought I was doing good... ends up this is about half the score that 50th place held at the time!

Have fun and learn about trebuchets at the same time!

Go Cian!

Cian's birthday was yesterday. He had a chocolate cheescake and got a Yellow Submarine book, which I had to read a number of times before continuing the day.

We now have no children under 3, but "3 & under" heehee we're still eligible for!

And as a random aside....
I think this picture of Neville looks a lot like my brother!

Yikes! Great blatheringblatherskites!

I meant to post here earlier, but haven't. Work, being that I take calls when people need help, has been rather busy during the time of year people in the FAA have limited time to egt stuff done. In between all the moritoriums (times when people aren't supposed to mess with the radar unless it's broke... done to ensure fewer outages during the holidays) people want maintenance, etc done.
So far I have been doing research on birds and atmospheric events. I like it. lots of interdisplinary stuff going on. Audobon meets weather man meets radar technician.

Ready for Xmas.... don't want the drive, but want to be down visiting family. The kids are ready too. this weekend marked our first venture to taking the kids to Santa. Cian shook the man's hand, but he wasn't going to sit next to him for any length of time. Jamie had a long talk with him, but she won't tell us anything other than that! It's like playing charades... or Guess Who.... insert guessing game here. "So what did Santa say to you?" 'He talked to me' The only thing else I've gotten out of her is that he told her to take a coloring book.
