24 hour marathon!

Wow. I realized this morning that I had technically been up for 24 hours! yikes. I feel much better after a nap and shower. My shower was much quieter without Milka to do death-meows. I miss that.


And a cheer goes out to Rose who drove my car! woohoo.

And ya'll have fun taking Jamie to dance class!

Made it to Florida

I think I was the only one wandering the airport in a winter jacket. It's cool down here , but not cold. My travel buddy and I ate at a spot he had found before... Parrot Key. outdoor dining next to the water.. .( a small island before you get to the Fort Myers Beach). definitely a spot to go back to. This evening we even had a DJ/singer... Al Holland (from the Platters).

Still need to wait before going to work. That is the only minus of working on some piece of equipment that Air Traffic needs to control traffic.... they never want to give it up.... esp. during peak travel season..go figure.


It's burning the midnight oil tonight. Bring it on.

I caught him!!

And just in time too. Had I not Rose probably would have been afraid to use the bathroom while I was gone.

It just so happened that we have had a tenant in our apartment. He made his home right behind the bathroom mirror. He came out during the night, and if the light was left on too long he'd hide. Yes it was a fairly large spider. Not only that... it was a brown recluse!

But I've finally caught the guy... now to find a new home away from my house!

Upcoming Travel

I can't really argue when sites having problems are in Florida, but working during the night for a week will probably take it's toll.

Last time I went to Florida to work on a radar I needed to meet my partner at midnight to work until 6AM. It just so happened that lightning blasted a transformer down the street and managed to totally remove all power from our hotel. I woke up at 3AM (took the emergency lights in the hall to tell time...Indiglo light wasn't working) and everything was dark. How was I supposed to know that I slept soundly enough to sleep through someone banging on my door.

Note: If you're on Singer Island and it's 3AM and you have no car ... there is a convenience store and a breakfast joint that operate 24/7 in a nearby Plaza near Blue Heron Blvd. :D

Current Obsession: Shadow of Colossus

Sad, but I had been playing the demo off and on for 3 months. Had explored the limits of the area and found the unprogrammed areas (where demo quit out). Managed to climb up a temple and see more half programmed parts.

Finally went out and bought the game. Already on the second time around. Beat all the Time Limit battles. Still there are more things I am trying to do.

Rose has put up with me taking screenshots. She also gets a kick out of the screen/camera shaking as a giant foot/club/sword/projectile lands near my character.

But yes still alive someday I'll have an interesting post :D
