New show to follow

Spoilers on Treasure hunters...

After our lull of recording shows to watch (American Idol ended... Survivor ended ... got caught up on Star Treks). We now have a new show to watch.... Treasure Hunters

So the team w/ the OSU grad was the second to go... Keith Brown of the Brown family. I have become hooked on the hicks (Wild Hanlons). Although they can be rather annoying.... they are very much the team that would be in some movie. they are that element of suspense. They are Scooby-Doo team... witlessly making their way around and following the clues... narrowly escaping the monsters hands... only to wind up solving the mystery. I mean... come on.... you have to hand it to someone who, in the middle of a competition, drives 80 miles to get a hamburger cause they were hungry! And then.... solve the puzzle and beat the other team!! Each show I just couldn't see how they lasted this far.... turning over every rock and looking in every hole.... I wonder how long they will last.

I didn't know that was on!

So I was flipping channels late one night and stumbled upon......
Dungeons and Dragons! The cartoon from the 80s saturday morning stuff. I've been recording it ever since with the DVR. And now..unlike back in the day... I can fast forward through the commercials... mwhahaha. Ends up Cian really likes it, and Jamie watches it too. So the kids and I have 1 new episode every week (only comes on Sat/Sun on Jetix , ToonDisney at night... I think)

Now if I only had a record player I could listen to some record books w/ the kids too.. . "When you hear R2-D2 say blu#* @*& turn the page" :)

Sunday Pic Post

So I'm still humming songs "It's a difficult respon-i-bil-it-tee" and "Put one foot in front of the other" From 'Santa Claus is coming to Town'.

On NPR the other day they mentioned the 3 most popular gifts for Dad's... 1)Tools 2)Electronic Gizmos, and 3)Neck Ties.
On this Father's day I got none of the above. My family must be giving me hints to cook more though. I received a pizza stone (for the oven) and a Salt ball (see photo). I particularly liked the packaging for the Salt Ball. It has a picture of some guy and a quote from him... under his name he is identified by "Famous Inventor". I need to work on getting referred to something like that

So it ends up the aforementioned guy is David Holcomb and the company ,Chef'n (inspired while listening to Grateful Dead song),is his. After reading the linked article about him... apparently he is a lot of things:

And so it went the other day for Holcomb, Chef'n founder and CEO, although the description underneath his photo on the Tongo reads "famous inventor." Other Chef'n products bestow even more descriptors: "inventive maverick," reads a one-handed pepper grinder named the PepperBall; "Papayaneer," professes the Pliapaya, the tropical fruit de-seeder; "Crabby," declares the crab-shelling tool called the WiseCracker.

Well anyway.. here's the pic

Self portrait to come...

I need a better way to take my self portrait. Got my old camera back, but needs a new battery :) haha... so still waiting for Rose to come back for self portrait.

Thought I'd share these though....

It's been getting warmer here and the only one of our family members that doesn't have sandals has been Cian. We finally went out and let him pick some out. Now we have a hard time getting him to take them off. (and yes.. he wears them without socks too)

And here's the little bruiser saying cheese!

Puppy time

So it's been around a week now with puppies. They're pretty cute. Can;t say I know much about dogs, so I have been in observation mode. Watching Remus as he plops down sticking his back legs straight back and then just moving his eyes to observe his surroundings. Watching Ginevra run like crazy and dive under tables and legs as she high tails it away from her brother whom she has badgered into chasing her.

The cats have more or les just ignored the new presence (of course the puppies are not allowed loose so the cats have no fear of strange animals jumping in their face). Of all the cats it seems Milka has been the last one to give up hissing... (Callie hissed through the sliding glass door and Meeper never has hissed). Now Milka has joined the other cats and I in observing.

Milka has come a long way... her most recent thing has been finding a nice cozy home while we take the dogs outside. HA (She has also found the space on top of their "house" to make a comfortable bed even when the pups are in it)

So here is me bringing the pups back "home" after their outside time...

and this is what was waiting for them...

It's back!

So after Rose deftly handled the customer "support" from our hosting company our site is now back online.

Brother, sister, and mom are in town to watch Jamie's dance recital tonight. We are all interested in what will unfold. Jamie seems more interested in her costumes at the moment than anything else, but that may change when she gets on the stage...

Should be fun.
