December
So far I've spent most of my time in Little Rock, AR. The family came out for a while and managed to avoid the ice storm that hit Oklahoma (and canceled Jamie's school for most of the week!).
After spending ~3 weeks here in Little Rock I've developed a pretty good mental map. There are still places I'd like to see, but working days doesn't always help. I did manage to see another State Capitol.

They had it all decked out for the holidays. Lights galore at night.
When I arrived back my car was frozen shut on the north side. I suspect ice storm and an everblowing wind from the north had something to do with it...

When I finally made it home we got back to important holiday stuff

YUM!!
Some snow on Saturday inspired the kids to 'play outside in the snow'. Of course that was BEFORE stepping out into the blowing-really-cold-air-and-snow-in-your-face wind. The kids instantly wanted to go back in. Not wanting to go in quite yet (getting all bundled up for a walk to the parking lot?? I don't think so), I suggested they walk behind me to block some wind.

I suppose being a skinny guy doesn't help much in this situation, and so our winter conga line was formed. I couldn't walk more than a shuffle!
The ice storm really did a number on the trees at the golf course.

This was similar to the drive into Oklahoma City the day before. All the trees along the road were in pretty bad shape.
Soon to be Christmas and looking forward to it! Happy holidays!
