Fun in Little Rock
A couple of days ago there was a really bad storm come through Arkansas. Before the storm came I was looking for a place to browse for D&D books. I went to a comic store (working on past experience), but found a place even better. I was directed to "The Gameroom". (9700 N Rodney Parham Rd, Little Rock, AR ) This place happens to be the perfect place for roleplaying/ card games/ board games. 2 stories of dedicated game space. After browsing I accepted an invite to play Robo Rally and it ended up being the perfect thing to do on an exceptionally rainy evening.
It just so happened that the next day was 'board game night'. So we stayed up til midnight playing "game I forgot the name but similar to Settlers of Catan", Boomtown, and Keythedral. If the kids were older I would for sure want to play these... they were pretty involved rules, but once you got a hold of them things sped up. I especially liked the Keythedral one (not just because I won), but because building your own board was pretty cool.
My further exploration of Little Rock yesterday yielded.... 'THE' Little Rock. YEs, I actually found the namesake for the city. It was more recognizable in the past when folks would use it as a landmark

, but at the moment it's covered in construction and not quite it's former self.
Dangerous roads
This seems to be a trip of danger. Driving back to Little Rock, AR. On my way out my drive turned from ~6 hours to 8. It happened to be a collision between a police officer and a semi. It was not the grass fire I first thought.

After the fire died down and the ambulance left with a police escort (funeral procession) this is what was left of the truck
